Boyle Infrastructure Replacement Levy In Place
The Village of Boyle has implemented a $10 monthly levy, that kicks in July 1.

The idea came from Budget 2017, which proposed a $5 levy to water utilities, and another $5 for gas utilities.

However, that was merged together into one Infrastructure Replacemet Levy (IRL) to keep things simpler. All three readings of the bylaw (Bylaw 04-17) to set up this levy was passed during the May 17 meeting.

Money collected through this levy will go to a reserve fund. The overall goal is to reduce Boyle's reliance on grant funding to replace their aging infrastructure.
