The Mayor's Soapbox


Join us on the last Friday of every month, when Athabasca's mayor Colleen Powell joins us in the River studios from 8AM to 9AM to update us on what town council has been up to.


Mayor Powell will also answer your questions about the town.  If you have a question that you'd like the mayor to answer, you can e-mail it to mcappis@newcap.ca, or leave it in the comments section below.

i know several people who have had close calls at the cross walk in front of the husky. are there any plans to put pedestrian crossing lights up at that intersection?
i noticed that there is a new shop (chad''s 420 smoke shop) to be open in town. you do realize what 420 is referring to? do you think that is the kind of businesses we need in our town? i for one don''t think it''s a good influence in our community.
